Official Kyiv wants to acquire the Israeli Iron Dome missile defense system and sign an agreement on the transfer of the Spike SR anti-tank guided missile system from Germany to Ukraine. This was stated by Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk, reports The Jerusalem Post.
«Last week, from what I know for sure, the Americans gave permission for the anti-tank missiles to be transferred from Germany to Ukraine and Israel said, «no». I want the Israeli government to move away from its comfort zone and get back to reality», — he said.
He also confirmed that Israel had refused to sign an agreement to transfer Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, despite the fact that the company had already sold the SPIKE 5th generation ATGM (anti-tank guided missile) to 18 European Union and NATO members.
«We need Israeli assistance… I mean that we need the military-technical support, we need the Iron Dome… that will allow us to save our civilian women and children from the shelling of the Russian missiles in our territory», — Yevhen Korniychuk said.
